Elefsina - Unconference planning

Hello Tipers! During the Elefsina Cycles we are planning to host a unconference, basically a morning in which you, the participants, take the stage and share what they are passionate and curious about. We hosted it also during the last International Training week and it was a blast.

There were session about game design, but also about sociology, dance, rituals, meditation, and so on, everything is valid and appreciated!

So, if you think you have a session/presentation that you will love to host, please comment on this thread with a title, duration and a short description.
This will help us planning the unconference at best and maybe more of you can collaborate on hosting something together.

Thanks!

hi,

what will be the length of this unconference?
How long an individual program item could last? Would it be preferred that such session is open for all, or could it be for a smaller amount of participants?
I’m just wondering if it rather should be along the lines of running a game or workshop (and could last several hours) or rather a lecture/performance that could be condensed into 20-30 mins?

Thanks!

Also curious about format, I could do a presentation but I prefer to organise a short participatory workshop/exercise/game if that’s appropriate. So an idea of timing would be useful for me to know as well.

Thanks for your answers and interest! Usually there are multiple things happening at the same time, so it’s not a plenary. The group can be small, and if there is a maximum that you think it’s ideal (maybe is a workshop for exactly 8 ppl), you can also run multiple runs with just that number. In term of duration we are looking at shorter contributions, more into the 30 minutes slot than the hour. Does this help? Let’s keep talking!

I would be happy to run a very short game design that I’ve played on bus journeys, but we can try/playtest a walking version.
Title: Feeling Landscapes
Duration: 15-30 minutes
Players: Any number of pairs
Through the animist-psychogeographic practice of attributing spirits and feelings to city life, will we observe landscapes through touch and attempt to psychically relay messages from Elefsina. Feeling Landscapes is played walking with eyes closed by interpreting touch signals on the arm and hand, whilst guided by our partner.
